THE JOURNEY; THE SOUND OF VICTORY. MY DEDICATION

THE JOURNEY; THE SOUND OF VICTORY
MY DEDICATION
TO ALL CONVOCATING UNN NAFSITES, ALL SHEKINITES, TO ALL SUPER-LIONS 2012  AND TO 2012 GREAT NIGERIAN GRADUATES
By Eburuche, O.C. Banito
CEO, BNT Consortium International.

One of the characteristics of a successful journey is the sound of victory.  This is the simple reason the super-lions of the University of Nigeria are jubilating under a spirit of high ecstasy for a successful journey of victory on this 25th day of January, 2013.  Simply put, journey is the movement of goods, services and/or passengers from one location to another through a means.  Without doubt, these super-lions have moved from one lower level to a higher level of honour, dignity and integrity.  A journey is characterized by a driver, departure and arrival time, point of departure and arrival, journey permit and deliverables among others. Of a true, these ones, as the drivers and negotiators of their own journey with certified journey permit, took off on a flight from a point of departure at a time and now, they have arrived with their deliverables.  They have fought a good fight, overcome their challenges and today we are celebrating their victory.
I deeply congratulate us all for having come to this peak of this journey of victory.  Obviously, there are stories to tell; good and bad, beautiful and ugly but of a true, whatever be the story, we’re glad that we have come out as distinguished victors.  At some point, we might have felt like to give-up and at some point, the tunnel became so dark such that we couldn’t decide which direction to follow; the journey too long and so rough. Honestly, we had many threatening visitors like confusions, stress, challenges of all kinds among others but in all these, the journey of our titan experience was yet victorious.
Without measure, we appreciate God who in His infinite mercy, faithfulness, grace and unfailing love saw us through. We all, knowingly or unknowingly, experienced God’s unfailing love in this journey.  His divine provision was awesome, His protection over us was unequalled and His grace for knowledge, understanding and wisdom was amazingly remarkable.  In all these, we cannot appreciate His Majesty enough than to say Thank You Lord.

We will not fail to appreciate our teachers, lecturers, advisers, supervisors, heads of departments, deans of faculties, vice chancellors among others in this category.  Without you, our experience in this journey would have been a misery.  You took us through the thread-like path of the journey of victory and now, we sing the song of victory.  Our joy would have been demeaned if your unending great efforts towards making us intellectuals, did not progress in a high geometric order. The resident wealth of knowledge in you is so amazing and your non-reluctance in dispensing such knowledge to us with high degree of effectiveness, efficiency and humility was greatly remarkable.  You became our parents, friends, mentors, advisers and virtually everything. You had the patience to bear our immaturity, delays, negligence, reluctance towards accomplishment and all our weaknesses.  You empowered our strengths and starved our weaknesses through your encouragements and motivations.  To our heads of departments, deans of faculties and vice chancellors, your high performance in effective, efficient and healthy administration helped us to accomplish faster. We are forever grateful to us all.

To our spiritual guidance, counselor, mentors among others in this distinction, we are eternally grateful for your prayers, intercessions, counseling and welfare packages.  You stood by us from when the journey was tough to when the journey became tougher till this very end.
What of our wonderful families; parents and relatives, colleagues and friends who never gave up on us.  It came to a point when there was nobody to lean on but you gave us a shoulder to lean on.  We were able to come through because of your corporative and collaborative support which was excellently profound.  We are forever indebted to you.

To you our progenies, you were excellently wonderful.   Your encouragements, advice and support were motivating factors that helped us through this journey.  Our word for you is to keep focused, get more determined, committed and dedicated to studies and surely, you will sing this song of victory soon.

Our special thanks to;
